S Korea fest chooses Iranian film ‘Daughter’ for screening

Celebrated Iranian film ‘Daughter’ is to be screened at the Seoul International Agape Film Festival in South Korea.

Acclaimed Iranian film ‘Daughter’ is set to be shown at the Seoul International Agape Film Festival in South Korea.

The festival, also interpreted as Seoul Int'l Love Fistfest, will screen the Iranian film starring well-versed Iranian actor Farhad Aslani who was praised in several international festivals, including the 38th Moscow International Film Festival in Russia.

The event, running on April 20-25, 2017, strives to showcase wonderful pieces of film work from diverse countries in order to communicate with people beyond the borders of Korea. All films of SIAFF may be re-screened at the non-commercial screenings organized by Seoul International Agape Film Festival or other touring international film screening.

Daughter is a 2016 Iranian drama film directed by Reza Mirkarimi.

"The strict and traditional Mr Azizi leads an uneventful family life in an oil town of southern Iran. Then one day...Setareh announces she is off to Tehran to say farewell to one of her best friends who is leaving Iran for good. Such decision brings about new events in Sterah’s life," a plot summary for the film read.
